Starter motor brushes

I am going to try the auto-electrician who rebuilt my starter 12 years ago, but in case he can't help, does anyone know where I might be able to get a set for the 12 volt type? I need them quickly, so would rather not have to wait until club spares re-opens next Monday, even if they have them! (I was too late to ring them tonight).

Hi Ken.
Just been across to the garage. I've only about 5 used brushes of various sizes, but don't know what they are from. But there's also an un-used pair with relatively heavy-braided copper tails with spades attached. Each brush measures 1.25" long, 3/4" wide and 5/16" thick. Any use?

Thanks Chris and Tony, but my auto-electrician thinks he may have some: I'm seeing him late afternoon. Mine are unusual in that they are screwed into their holders through a hole in the carbon block.
