SA Jupiter gauge type face

Post by Alastair Gregg »

Evenin all

Two questions really and I suspect I know the answer to the first.

1. Does anybody have an SA Jupiter water temp gauge they would be prepared to part with for the old rustling kind of money?

2. Can anyone scan the face of the gauge so I can ask around showing the correct typeface. Early LandRover is close.

The problem is that the gauges are slightly concave and if you scan it, it looks wrong, for a drop in replacement!

Thanks in anticipation

Alastair

SA Jupiter Water Temp Gauge

The SA Water Temp Gauge you need is a Smiths X.70971/2

I will email you and Keith a photo of the dial from my SA Jupiter Water Temp gauge - it is a reproduction dial generated from a scan, but unfortunately I do not have the file. A company in Melbourne Australia holds the file - I can pass you their details if it is of any assistance.

Melbourne file holders

Hello Andrew,

Would they be prepared to release a copy of the file to a perdect Pommey stranger or is money going to need to change hands?

I would be most interested in getting hold of the file.

Thanks for responding

I haven't dealt with the company personally, but I can contact them and ask the question for you. Where do you want me to email the photo of the dial off my gauge to?
