Jupiter 1952/3 Gearbox Wanted

Looking for a good or refurbishable gearbox as I'm aiming to fit an overdrive and would prefer to swop over the gearboxes once built.

JCS has a few, but knowing whether they are refurbishable and at what cost is always a challenge.
You really need a couple of hours work checking a few , first by seeing if you can get all the gears and listen for any noises, and check for bearing wear. Then take off cover and look inside for play and wear and bits of metal shavings. The tech notes have a good checklist. Search using jowett.org search or feed this into Google 'gearbox site:jowett.net'
