What does a Jupiter weigh"
? Wikipedia says not much less than a Javelin approx 960kg, it seems a bit nonsenseical that an alloy bodied sports car weighs the same as a steel bodied four door saloon.

Re: Jupiter weight
An Autocar Road test said 2121 lb with 5 gallons of fuel. A Motor road test said 21.25 cwt, which I make 2380 lb. Also a Motor road test of a Javelin quoted 21.5 cwt.

Re: Jupiter weight
Having moved a jupiter chassis, body panels and other bits, I can see the difference being minimal between them - the aluminium is thicker than javelin steel, and there is a fair bit of steel in the jupiter chassis that the javelin replaces with bodywork and thinner steel.David Kemp wrote:What does a Jupiter weigh"

Most of the really heavy bits are common to both, Engine, axles, gearbox, wheels and tyres etc.
