Don't know how many of you know that there's a song dedicated to the Jowett Javelin.
All you need to do is follow the instructions below, and thank Eric Aldcroft in Canada for the chance to hear this wonderous piece of Jowett history. You'll have to be quick because it only lasts 29 seconds. I've a feeling that the whole song has been discussed in a previous Jowetteer magazine, and perhaps our omniscient Editor will have the reference.
Here goes:-
1. Google - or perhaps any other search engine. I'm getting the lingo Keith!
2. Jowettnet
3.Contributions
4. Eric Aldcroft
5. Click link to Eric's 'restoration of a Javelin in Canada'
6. Bottom of page, list of things including "the Jowett Javelin song
7. You'll need of course a couple of speakers with your system, but if you've got them, TURN UP THE SOUND and "sing-along".
8. Once you hear it, you'll never get the song out of your mind, so BEWARE.
Tony.

Isn't it great!
I found this some time ago and to my shame I have not yet bought the CD to get the full version, BUT . . .
I remember some L O N G time ago someone mentioned ANOTHER song that was performed at one of the JCC rallies, I believe.
This incuded the words 'They never wear out, they never wear out, they hardly even wear in . . . You leave them to your next of kin'.
Now, is there anyone who was present at that memorable meeting who might be able to identify the hero(es) that wrote that little treasure!?
