This months listing - a lot of pre war cars coming available - not much about in the Javelin department through !!

1950 Jupiter - Significantly historic car having been raced in the 1951 Monte Carlo, very early chassis number 17, restored in the 1980's - engine rebuilt recently
British racing green with tan trim - the car is in France £POA

1952 Javelin - Straight car, nicely presented with gold coachwork, original interior in red with nice patina but now showing signs of wear
The car is for sale with a dealer in Lancashire for an eye watering overpriced £18,000 !!!

Javelin on Ebay, LXT 259. Yet another one that I cannot seem to find listed by the club, even in older 1980s registers - though admittedly some cars are listed without registration number. Priced a bit high for one that apparently needs work. Perhaps this is the way things are going now? Looks all complete though. 4 Days to go. Item 181443052797

Great to see 'Annabel' on the road. So often 'one offs' are kept to look at.

A long term friend of mine, now sadly deceased, had a marvellous collection of over 100 vintage and veteran cars and a few others of exceptional general interest, e.g gifts from American Presidents to Foreign leaders.

It always amazed me that, although several of them were/are in the six figure range, he would use them to go shopping. He would say 'If you want to keep them in good condition - use them'.
The devil is in the detail!

From looking at the register Car no 13060 is not shown but is probably an E1 PC registered in early 1951 . LXT 259 was a London number used in 1951. Bob
