Re: inner front guards
Hello Bryan:
I have the factory drawing for the early style mud guards. I have made two sets over the years, so I may be able to offer a few tips if you are going to tackle this yourself. It is not particularly difficult.
I will dig out the drawing today and get back to you.
Cheer,
Scott

Re: inner front guards
Okay, found the original drawing of the shrouds, plus the rarely seen piece that fits behind the radiator and connects to both the left and right shroud.
The drawings are E size paper or 50% actual size, so scaling them up will get you very close to the correct dimensions. I posted pictures in the gallery under "Blueprints Engine shrouds 55766, 55767". (I doubt you will be able to scale those!) The gallery also includes 56104, the cross shroud. It is dimensioned, but I would caution the ultimate width should be taken after fitting the other shrouds to the frame.
So, we could copy the blueprints and include dimensions from an original shroud, or make a template off the original, or both!
I had a template I made and had used several times over 20 years ago, but it seems in an out-of-character moment, I cleaned up the shop and tossed the template in the dust bin.
Cheers,
Scott

Thanks Scott,
I'll have a go at recreating the drawing in autocad this weekend and will see what dimensions are missing from there

Re: inner front guards
Okay, I will get a digital copy of the original and I assume I can forward that to Bryan and to Keith for inclusion in the digital archive. I do not know the file size until I get to the shop that does it.
I will try to get that done in the next few days.
Cheers,
Scott
