Both books were scanned at high resolution (approx 35MB) then cropped, then OCR, then optimised with high background removal.
The docs should be searchable with text, although it seems it finds the word or phrase on the page but does not highlight its location correctly. Still working on that!

Has anyone a CB or a CC parts book they can send me or scan in please?

I took photos of a CC one in NZ which are here THIS LINK NO LONGER WORKS! but a pdf would be better.

The reason for putting these large tomes in the file directory of Jowett.net is to reduce the overhead on the Gallery. Anyway Gallery does not allow such large files, as I have that restricted. Although the Gallery can store large files it is likely the upload session will time out, even if the size was unrestricted.

The disadvantage of storing in the jowett.net file structure is that, if the files are moved , all references to them will be broken. This does not occur in the Gallery. By accessing via the Gallery this provides some degree of security and overcomes the referential integrity issue. It just means you have to be logged onto the Gallery.

Keith, second post in this thread says "CC Parts List" but it is a "CA" parts list. Worth changing the heading just to avoid confusion.

I should have CC parts list coming soon that we can scan.
