The Jowett Stand is 12-750 on far right hand side after you enter hall 12 from main atrium. It is close to an emergency exit.
The Classic Car of the Year is bear right as you enter hall 9. To go between the two you follow the main walkway ALL the way. Green on this map.

I have planned a route around the show so that we can concentrate on the stalls we need to. This starts at the Jowett Stand to say hello but then travels quickly to the CCOTY for 10:30 in Hall 9 where there are also 5 stalls to visit. Then via Hall 8 to visit Evans cooling (could be interesting!) and Hall 7 for Practical Classics and AB tools who are also in Hall 19. A couple in Hall 6 and a couple in Hall 20 before doing a big loop around halls 18 and 17 visiting about 30 small stalls on my list. Then end up at the Restoration theatre back in Hall 19 where we also visit Envirostrip. Then back to the Jowett stand having "done the business", perhaps this time looking at the cars.

Dear all

Sorry we didn't get another first this year but you can't win them all! Anyway this is just by way of a massive Thank You to all the support I got from the club members and their votes and the votes of their friends! It was a great although exhausting weekend for Kathryn and me! What an experience. I will be doing a write up of the weekend for the Jowetteer very soon.

Our return home on the Monday was not without incident. Going very well for about 60miles when a sudden bang led me to believe a tyre issue. It wasn't! I proceeded gingerly for the next couple of miles accompanied by a rumbling sound to a garden centre, searched underneath for signs of trouble in the prop coupling department but nothing obvious. After some lunch decided to proceed home but rumbling worse so phoned for recovery. When I arrived home reversed Javelin inside my garage for some future inspection.

Anyway as I said before, many thanks to all of you. What a fantastic club we belong to!

Paul - Glad you enjoyed the event and please note that there is no apology needed - the mere fact that you took the time & effort to seek the car out in the first place, do what you could when you could over the last 45 years makes you and your family a winner - alone !! - However you are very correct in your statement: 'What a fantastic club we belong to!'
