Some of you spend a long time composing mails and it is possible that you lose them, either because of a timeout or going off and doing something else. I would recommend using Word or Notepad or other editor to compose your post and then just copy and paste into the topic.
Alternatively you can 'save a draft' of the post. This can be retrieved by going to the same forum and post a 'New Topic'. Then a button appears inviting you to 'load the draft'.
Note that attachments are not saved by the 'save draft'.
You can also edit posts after you have submitted them. Any attachments will not be lost.

It may be possible to recover some typing by reloading the previous browser page. use the back arrow in top right and then resend data that the browser may have stored. As I said it may work.
