fitting replacement temp gauge ! plus rad.

Removal of radiator incurred ,with care !! pipe from gauge to the radiator breaking. ok not the end of the world , i have replacement gauge to fit the replacement radiator. ? how does one pass the pipe with the large securing nut that fits the radiator through the scuttle . ?

It should just fit through the hole but if you have more wires or pipes you may have to temporarily remove them. You may also need to dislodge the grommet.
