Evening all,
I have a 1934 Jowett Kestrel pretty much all there and very original. It came with a photo copy of the original logbook as it was part owned (the original was lost in the estate of its late keeper) all the numbers match and the original number is not recognised by the DVLA so hopefully it will be fairly straight forward.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a member of the club who can help verify the car so I can start the ball rolling?
Many thanks
Dave Cameron

When you say not recognised by the DVLA, do you mean on their online vehicle enquiry?
You may find calling their premium rate number gets you a lot more info, even their cheap rate number can reveal whether they have a car in their system somewhere.
If you have record of the buff logbook you are half way there, but you may well find that they have it on record in that case, depends very much when it came off the road.
If they genuinely don't have it in the system, worth a discussion with the prewar registrar to assist with history and getting the car registered - this is (as Keith points out) only available to club members - his details are in the front of the Jowetteer.
Jack.

I'd have thought that calling the DVLA and giving your name would do the trick
