I'm a recent joiner to the Club. In the early '60s I ran a Javelin de-luxe (reg. GWM 158 if I remember correctly) for about 2 1/2 years, on a very small student income. In that time I stripped and rebuilt the engine (broken crankshaft) and got to love the car and its qualities. A career intervened and it was sold to a mate for £19 - who ran it for 12 months and, I think, sold it to a Javelin enthusiast in Malvern for spares. I am looking to buy a good Javelin (not a restoration project) to enjoy in my retirement years. I am quite comfortable with mechanical maintenence, but don't have the facilities for bodywork repairs. Any offers?
