Jupiter parts ( help me clean out the loft!)
In attempting to get three Jupiters together, I have been digging through the ex-Milt Green, ex-Ted Miller stash of parts. After spending the weekend sorting parts, I have a good idea of what is surplus to my efforts. If you are looking for a Jupiter part (sorry, no tach drives or lighters), drop me a line. There are some odd things in there, some new/some lightly used, such as selector change nuts (50365), a gas pedal assembly (53406), the panel that mounts into the dash and carries all the gauges, all kinds of bronze bushes, steering wheels (bare), and a few of the convertible hood hinges. Too much for me to inventory and list; it's easier to search to see if it is here.
Cheers,
Scott

Re: Jupiter parts ( help me clean out the loft!)
Hey Vic:
Okay, I probably should have listed that along with the lighter and tach drive.
I know that there is a very recent thread elsewhere on Jowett Talk about bonnet badges and they are making noises about getting some cast. About 7 years ago, one was made by CNC here in Los Angeles and I will see if the program is available. The big problem is the enamel inserts.
I spoke to a badge restorer and got an education on the process. The short story: about US$1200 for each mold (need three) and about $300 for each badge produced, regardless of run quantity. A little too pricey for a one off, and pretty expensive for any one wanting one. On the other hand, if you can't find one....
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Cheers,
Scott

Do you have the light switch knob and starter button in white? Mine are off a Javelin so they are black.

Hello! Yep, pretty sure there is a Head-Side-Off handle in there, but not the start button. I'll send a PM to you.

Tom Chapman, why did your Jupiter have a Chrysler axle? Out of what Chrysler?
Good memories of Bradfords.

Why, because some chump in the States thought it would be a good idea. No doubt either Chris or Jack will utilise the said beast in their forthcoming creations. If you really want to know, Jack can try to find the part numbers stamped on the said article currently sitting in my shed.
And, if you speak to me nicely, you can have the said article.
