OK guys the cable supplied to Jaak was 6mm external diameter and so does not fit into the sleeves on Jav or Jup. Land Rover and MG are no good. I am now trying to get and answer on TR2, Morris Minor etc. We need a 4.6mm outer diameter of the spiral with a 3mm inner core. So far I have tried 4 suppliers who kindly measured their rack cables. All were 6mm.

So if you really do know of a supplier then please tell us.

Think I have found the correct cable, just checking if it is long enough for the Jup. It is over 100cm long so you can cut to length. Does anybody have the measurement to hand? I reckon about 90cm.

The wpr121a splitscreen type is 4.8mm this was for vehicles with the lucas crt wiper motors fitted from 1948 to 1956. the wpr121 is 5.8mm and this was for vehicles from 1957 onwards fitted with lucas dr2 and dr3 types of wiper motors.

Amazing ordered at 16:00 hrs arrived at 09:00 hrs the following day. Checked out both the cable and the rubber mounting. So I will be renewing the cable on my SA as well as sending one to Jaak and fixing my motor to the bukhead in the approved fashion (rather than tie wrap) .
