This is just for interest in the photograph itself. I'm sure it's earlier than c1930. It doesn't seem to have head lights.

definately a 1925 chummy or short 4. The chummy was introduced for the 1925 model year and had the sloping scuttle as in 1924 but with the addition of a top rail to the screen. Headlights as such were not fitted untill the following model (1926). the '26 short 4 had the flat bonnet & scuttle & headlights

The partially obscured registration plate looks like XX with four numbers following . This was a London series first used in January 1925. XY started in April 1925 so the car pictured would have been a 1925 model. The vendor says it was taken in 1930,so it is unlikely to be a manufacturers publicity picture. Bob
