Keith Clements and Peter Pfister will be there on Saturday, well at least that is the current plan. Plan changed as we need to find lots of tools with Chris.

Amy and I there on Thursday and Friday.

From a recent note I believe Michael KO is planning to be there on Sat.

A useful floor plan here, so you can plan your visit - http://www.floorplanlive.com/public/flo ... 2&ViewID=1 - if you've not been before, it is really very big. You will need to be quite focused to get around everything in a day.

Highlights for Jowett fans:

The JCC stand is near the entrance to hall 18
Leeds City College Restoration Theatre is in hall 19 with the Javelin project
Alan Bartlett's car on the Classic Car of the Year stand in hall 9

Hi everyone,

Juliet, John Airey, Diana Trott and I plan to be there on Saturday.

Thanks for the floor plan. As you say, I guess we need to plan where to go and in what order, otherwise it will be exhausting!

All the best,

David

Looking forward to having a catch up with members there, having just looked at that map and the one in CCW, its like its own mini town. Didn't actually realise how big it really is. I don't think ive got time to wire in a cigarette lighter for a sat nav :)

I printed the map out and marked all the stalls I might visit. Next job is to ask Google for a route planner to cut down on the distance walked.

No, it just came out rather small but, I zoomed in on the screen then marked where I wanted to go on the paper.

What a fantastic publicity drive for the club - and this is just from one event - Keith is quite right we still need to continue the process of raising the clubs profile - in doing so we become appealing to potential new members - be it younger / first time classic car owners - or owners that are adding to their present classic fleet.

We have many advantages:

Enough numbers of cars survive to allow the club membership to grow but not to a unmanagable status

The cars remain sensable in price from entry level to concours award winning

Most classic vehicle owners enjoy the friendship / family spirit of the smaller classic car clubs

We have many experianced & supportive Jowett owners who are more than willing to support the less knowledgable / first time owners

And a very supportive team in our club run spares scheme

This is just a few of the benefits that we can offer our members / potential members

BUt ! Please remember not leave all the undertakings within the club to usual faces / volounteers - you do not have to be a committee member to get involved or volunteer and from experiance the more members involved the more fun it becomes - it is your club we can only make it better with your involvement.

Club Personality of the Year

Post by Keith Clements »

This is what I got when I searched for Jowett on the Classic and Sports Car site. I thought for a minute they were mixing me up with the OTHER Keith Clements who has an Aston!

Unique Aston Martin scoops best in show at the NEC
There wasn't a dry eye in the house when the Club Personality of the Year was announced. The prize was won by Keith Clements of the Jowett Car Club who embarked on a mammoth European fund-raising tour in his Jupiter after his wife Jenny died of cancer.
