water pump refurbishment

Post by CyrilWhite »

I have failed to retrieve the article from Severnside ,I hope this article recommended by Keith is made available . Like many others I have a leak especially when the engine has stood ,it then seems to dry up . I would like to obtain a spare pump and rebuild over the winter . Perhaps the redesign team in Scotland might offer an article that would help a winter project using the Severnside article as a guide for non experts .

I can provide you with a few spare pumps to rebuild! Are you able to retrieve the article from the JowettGallery? Note you MUST login to the Gallery, not just JowettTalk.

Hi Cyril,

Are you logged into the Gallery as well as the forum? I got an error message when I clicked on the link, but by going to the Gallery and logging in it then worked. Tell us how you are trying, and we can try and guide you through - it is definitely there and visible because I went through it a few days ago.

Jack.

I phoned Cyril up and walked him through it. Cyril did have a number of false attempts at logging in which may have affected his ability to download. This may have something to do with cookies. Either try closing your browser and trying again , and, if that fails, clear your cookie history. This problem was discussed and I thought fixed by me some years ago. http://jowett.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1438

You can try this.
We have a work around; albeit dexterous requiring a combination of two keys and a mouse (Shift+CTRL+refresh) or just two keys (CTRL+F5)!.
