Hi there,

Just in case anyone is interested, there is a 1953 Gold Javelin for sale on eBay. There are about 6 days to go until the end of the auction and the current bid is £900. I believe it is situated in Suffolk, from the location of the vendor.

It looks from the pictures to be a standard model, which makes it quite rare and I cannot find the registration number in the club records, so it might have 'slipped under the radar'. The eBay reference number is 270053646445. From the description, it has an MOT until October 2007 and would appear to be on the road.

The vendor adds the following notes in the eBay advert :- 'This car has just had a bare metal respray. It is not the best respray in the world, but all the hard work is done. It has had a new head lining recently. Could do with a new set of tyres. Seats are useable and original. Propshaft makes a noise on over run. It has had new brakes and king pins. New stainless exhaust fitted. This car needs a bit more work to make it nice. Please ring for more info. on 07747102305.'

The auction has now ended and this Javelin has now changed hands for £1900 to an eBay member based in Kent.

I hope you are the lucky buyer and enjoy owning a unique vehicle!
