Jupiter/Javelin pistons

Post by Allan Hesse »

Hi Everyone

The last time I rebuilt a Javelin engine I used Triumph pistons. I understand Fiesta 1100 pistons are used now. Can anyone tell me which model Fiesta has the right pistons? Is it the Mk 1,2,3 ????

Also what mods are required? Does the skirt need to be machined like the Triumph?

Many thanks

Allan

I understand from Mike Smailes, and he has pointed this out in the latest Jowetteer, that the Fiesta pistons are now in very short supply and very expensive. (They were for an 1100cc model). I have just purchased pistons from New Zealand and they are for a Mazda 808 or 323.

Why not simply use JP pistons from good old Oz. The Jowett Car Club of Australia stocks genuine spec Jupiters (less split skirt).

Saves all the messing around making modifications!
