Interesting, comment in the description "she came with the original leopard skin Kumficar seat covers which were an optional extra from new"

Seriously? Did they really have leopard skin seat covers as a factory optional extra???

The interior probably wants redoing, but the car looks relatively straight otherwise - probably a good option for someone out there looking for rolling restoration.

The price is already pretty reasonable with 3 days to go - interesting to see where this one will end up given the condition etc.

My fashion knowledge is not that good; but Leopard skin in 1952? more likely 1956 onwards; but those who remember the period may be able to surprise me.

- Bad news Keith - the fashion that you wear is far worse than any knowledge that you have on the subject.

This car was once owned by Coronation street actress Julie Goodyear, who played Bet Lynch.

So maybe that accounts for the tacky leopard skin seat covers? I'm not a Coro fan or follower, but didn't she tend to wear clothing of that ilk?

Now that is interesting - could increase the value of the car potentially, but seems the current owner isn't aware of it or hasn't included it in the listing?

It would explain the leopardskin, but doesn't make it look much better

Price still looks very reasonable with just over a day to go...

Leo Bolter, Coronation Street Fanatic, . . . .

Oh Pleeeese, Jack . . . . don't tar me with that brush!

Twenty years ago, I may have caught a fleeting glance of Coro on the telly in the front room as I passed by to collect a valuable item (like a Jupiter con-rod or similar) from the china cabinet whilst I was engrossed in doing the JJ-1951 restoration, but I haven't really, actually, watched it for forty years. That was back when programs were in black and white and Coronation Street had Ena Sharples and that other biddy buddy of hers featuring. They could be found seated in the Rover's Return Snug every night! What was the Landlord's name . . Jack, perhaps? :D

But, thanks for the images to stir my (very vague) memories . . . . doesn't she look lovely . . . so demure . . sweet and beautifully dressed :o

£2,550 and it is sold.

Now that seems like a very reasonable deal. OK, it needs some work on the interior, but for a car with MOT and apparently running ok that seems like no money at all really. Without seeing it in the flesh it is hard to say, but on the surface a buyer has done well.

from the photos it looks like one for 'conservation' rather than 'restoration'
