I have 5.00/5.25 x 16" crossplys
As this car was stored for occassional sunday drives,(previous owner) and not put on blocks, the tyres have flat spots of varing degrees.
This is a traditional problem with cross plys due to the nature of construction.
Running with flat spots, regarless of how bad, creates wear on everything from wheel bearings to diff etc.
modern Radials do not have the same problem.
Cost of replacement is around $ 230 to $260 NZ each
Damn thats more expensive than the performance fat typrs on the camaro by near $80 each!!!
175x 16" radials are around $75 NZ each.
What rubber do u guys run, pros and cons, and why?
Cheers
