Response to executive comment

Let us hear your views.
I was quite surprised by the people who said they read the forum without logging on. You will then miss out on the very useful facility of having the system display only the posts that you have not read. OK this may be a bind if you have not logged on for 60 days but you can go through each forum and say you have read all the posts even if you have not.

Also if you do not log-on you will not pick up your Private Messages that other users have sent you! If your email address is correct and you have not disabled the facility, you should get an email informing you of a new PM.

I am also surprised by the vocal members who have nothing to say on the forum. Every club officer should really be communicating on the forum, especially the section officers.

I only post if I have somnething useful to say, and this post has nothing to say, but to confirm that many of us read other's posts so that we can learn something.

Yes that is very useful...you know it is there, I do, we do the code.
I even have the link coded at the top of every forum page, be reply, a thread a post.
I also have 2 links on the front pge of the web site, and top left block of every page gallery forums downloads etc etc.
And since i use php nuke with forums as a addon module I have access to detailed states as to what vistor or member goes to...including "posts since last visit" ...other than a handfull of core members not many use it, and I believe know it even exists, regardless of 8 or 9 yrs of 'education'. The same applies to other sires I have admin/modded over the last 12+ yrs...unless they are the sites about coding....
Yes every so often I piont out this, hoping many would pick up on it...couple may..for a while....thats life...I learnt to accept it yrs ago and stopped stressing, banging my head against a brick wall and wasting my time.
My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
