Rugby Classic Garage has for sale a 1936 Kestrel for sale. Advertised as Curlew, but it is not. For Restoration

No takers at this asking price hence the vendors have entered it in to the Richard Edmunds auction at Castle Combe on the 26th March 2011 - the guide price being a little more practical at £1500 - £2000 - web link posted below

Not supprised there were no takers! At an asking price of over £3000. Far too much!!
The vendor is still advertising it as a Curlew. It is not. I have, since my initial posting, seen this car. It is a Falcon. There is no boot and the spare wheel is carried on the outside at the rear. It also has a stationary engine installed. I do have some additional photo of the rear of the car and engine compartment if any body would be interested.

It looks rough in the pictures but does appear to be quite sound. A very worthy restoration project

HA - The plot thickens - this vehicle has of today has cropped up on E bay of all places where the buyer at last Saturdays auction for £1650 fancies his chances of a profit and therfore for sale at a buy it now price of £2495 - web link listed below - this poor car deserves a home rather than being touted by the traders who's hands it keeps traveling through and still they don't know what they are selling !!! - It is as Peter stated it is a Falcon not a Curlew

The plot now thickens to point you can not stir it, having now gone through hands of two traders, an auction, a non sale through e bay this car is set to go auction again at the end of the month through South Western Vehicle Auctions - it is presently advertised through the web site of 'car and classic' - the link to the site is posted below.

Unfortunatly this project did not sell at auction this time so it remains in the hands of the Berkshire trader who purchased it from the Richard Edmunson Auction at Castle Combe - hopefully it will find a home!
