I've just come across a few photos while looking on the internet for a few things. I know we've seen a Rover V8 dropped into a Javelin before, and it didn't look like the suspension was very happy about it, but this seems to be a project on an entirely different scale.
Interested in opinions on this, looks like a fun conversion, and well engineered.

I like the lights, they're recessed into the wing, nice clean line.
Owner is in Biggin Hill, Kent. No idea if they are a member of the club, hopefully we can include people with a clear talent for these things, and I imagine he's learned a lot about Javelins doing this. Photos only went up in January, so this might be a fairly recently completed project.

And it has Ford Capri 2.8 suspension, so must really handle well!

There have been several threads over the yrs of 'hot rods' usually made and described by ppl who have no idea as to what a hot rod is.
THAT is a 'Rod well engineered.
Suprided never used the more common front and rear xj6 subframes and suspenstion.
Its cool but not my style for a rod.. a body and roof chop, along with suspenstion would certainly brought the 1950 lines upto date.
But those wheels they down right suck....
The biggest failing with most rods/ mods...is the wheels.
So often the pick them out of a cataloge cause they look good in the cataloge
This then takes the eye from the car to the wheels.
What should happen is the wheels to set off the car, blend with the car lines and add to the over all 'look' not be the look.
A set of s/s cragers, or something similar, 14 or or 15" that have the tradiional cuved spoke lines more in line with the curved flow lines of the car would be far nicer.....
And one thing I find very amiable about you joweters in England...your liberal attitude to Rodding of this standard.

i had the jowett car club guys come around for a look at mine and thought they would hang me up when i said i wanted to v8 hot rod one but they( older gents ) realy supported the idea,
