Bradford for sale

Post by Chris Spencer »

Link posted below of a 1950 Bradford Station Wagon for sale in Uruguay - looks like it's been stood for the last 10 years and the vendor has priced the vehicle accordingly @ £3,500 sterling !!!!! - there is a lot of this in the general classic / vintage market where vendors assume because it is old and they have never seen another one - that it worth silly money.

I contacted the seller and this was his response. I am still conversing with him.

I am afraid I do not know anything about this one except that most Bradfords here were PIck up and this one as you can see is UK made. I have one for spares but shipping is very expensive
Cheers

Keith - This vendor has a load of stuff for sale on the carandclassic website all stupidly overpriced i.e. He has a 40's wreak of a Ford woody estate or shooting brake as friends across the pond would call it on for £10k ! - If he comes back with the Jav's that have not moved for ten years there going to be the same price as the Bradford he has for sale.

Could we at least ask him to let us have the chassis / engine numbers for the benefit of the Registers?

Alternatively, he could open a Uruguay branch of the JCC with that many vehicles as a starting point!
The devil is in the detail!
