Re: Bottom Near-side Rear Door Hinge

I called into Martin Benning today and he says Peter at Evesham may have one so I was going to get the old one from the bloke doing the welding and take it over.

If you can find one it will save me a journey.

Many thanks for your help.

Bottom Near-side Rear Door Hinge

I missed the parts slot again last night. You would think I could remember to phone at some point between 7 and 9 would you not? I have a broken bottom rear near-side hinge and need a replacement. They may be interchangeable left and right and the front part may be the same as the rear shape but tur...

Removing rear drums

I am struggling to find/make a pipe/puller that will screw on to the drum. I can weld on a nut and bolt to do the pulling. I have found a 1 3/4 inch pipe fitting but the thread appears to be 11-116 The thread on the hub seems to be 12-107 I have worked this out using a set of thread gauges "The...

Thanks for the suggestions

I have had the starter motor checked but I suspect they just connected it up to a battery and it worked. I have replaced the starter cable and earth. I have had the gearbox out twice so the connections are ok. As I said I have put in two extra wires to the motor and put a twelve volt battery and swi...

6 volt or 12 what should I do

I have had my Bradford for ten years and it has never started very well on the button. I have checked out the motor and replaced wiring and battery. Last year I put a 12 volt battery in the back with independant switch for a busy working weekend. It worked well. If I convert the whole thing to 12 vo...

George

Many thanks for the reply I have now worked out the engine is a CB having the belt etc. I got the Y pipe but the holes on one arm are at the wrong angle. I have tried to bend it with a blow lamp. No luck so am looking for someone local with gas. Nothing is ever straight forward.

Bradford Engine

I have a 47 Bradford marked on the plate as a CA. I am pretty sure the engine is a CB (the fuel pump has a foot type lever and not a separate rod). I need to order a new Y pipe for it and need to know which it is. Am I correct.
