Help in Macau

Post by Forumadmin »

Dear Sir/Miss,

Nice to email to you. I am not sure if it is proper to inquiry you about these questions, but I hope you can give me some helpful information.

I'd like to inquiry about the following problems:

1, the engine is leak now, the oil leaks out sometimes.
Could you tell me where i can perpare the engine, or any new engine available I can buy?
2, Because of the hot weather in my city (Macau), the tank is often hot.
Do you have any cooler system to suggest to help cool the tank?

Your help will be highly appreciated.

By the way, i am the member of the Jowett Car Club of NZ, the member
number is 2061.
Look forward to receiving from you soon. Thanks a lot!

Kind Regards!

Eddie Chan

Eddie is a bonefide member of the NZ Jowett Club. We will see what we can do, but because of his location assistance from any region would be appreciated, so please do not hesitate to get involved.

I responded directly to the email offering assistance. This is the response.
Perhaps NZ, UK and AUS spares schemes can work out the easiest way to sort this! I will respond saying all parts are available and we will work out how to get them there.

There are many places oil can leak from the engine. We can help you find
where it is coming from. The worse place is just in front of the oil filter
wher the housing meets the block.

There are also many causes of over heating; even in the cold of the UK! We
can also identify that; but if there is nothing wrong with the engine then I
suggest you add an electric fan.

If you do not understand these answers then we can try some pictures.

We will see if anybody responds with offers to help you. Perhaps they
will come for a holiday!

Alan, that's excellent. I was concerned that the original posting had been ignored by everyone, and whilst I appreciate that there is not a lot in practical terms that UK members can do I for one would be prepared to contribute to costs etc necessary to get this remote Jowett ambassador up and running again!

Thanks a lot for Keith Clements, thank you, Alan Stanley.

I really hope my car could run perfectly after I joining in you here.
As the time went by, many parts of my car (Jowett Jupiter 1.5Litre 1952 S.A. Model) need replacing, especially parts of engine and the cooling system.

So, Mr. Alan Stanley, if your side can help to work out these parts I listed for Mr. Keith Clements, could you suggest the way how I can buy them, could you give me the quotation and lead time?

thanks a lot!

I am so happy getting help here!!
