Engine parts

Good morning,

We are a classic car restoration company in Wiltshire and are restoring a '52 Jupiter for a customer.

The engine requires a rebuild, for a number of reasons, but not least a heavily corroded liner that has worn through to the aluminium block!

I am attempting to contact Dennis Sparrow, who I understand is the leading authority on Jowett engines, to discuss parts he would be able to supply so that our in house engine builder can rebuild the engine.

The telephone number I have for Dennis rings out, do any members here have up to date contact details for him?

Any other advice as to sources of engine and gearbox parts would be greatly appreciated. I will also be phoning Bill Lock who has supplied us with a number of parts already.

Does either the JCC or JOAC supply any parts of this nature?

Many thanks in advance,
George

ps. I'll be starting a build thread with photos and details of the restoration in due course!

Jowett Car Spares are the leading parts stockists for any Jowett - this is the clubs own spares scheme - run for the members by the members - you do however need to be a club member to order parts from them but this allows you access to stocks of Jupiter parts that are exclusive to the club - I can put you touch with the spares scheme + other contacts if you PM some contact details - I also run a small restoration company and currently have 3 Jupiter restorations on the books - Chris

Hi Chris,

Many thanks for your message and email, apologies for the slow reply.

We've purchased a few parts in the past from the club, I'll give them a call this evening for some info.

Thanks very much for your help.

Best regards,
George
