Effective was J.A. Cowap's C.S.C., with rear-placed 646-c.c.
B.S.A. air-cooled twin motor-cycle engine, chain drive, and all-
independent suspension by transverse leaf springs and wishbones.

What a good find! The Jupiter might well be my father's car KER437 - I think that the edge of the 3 might just be visible -or is that my vivid imagination? At one time the car was two-tone blue. Hard to tell since old black and white film does strange things to colours.
Any more clues?

Has anyone been through them all and noted all the registration numbers?

My personal favourite is the one of Marks' Jupiter showing massive oversteer in a race in the US. I would be interested to know whether the MGTD avoided him!

Where possible I always record the registration number - you can search by registration number - so you can quickly ascertain whether a particular car is in the database.
Try it! GBU 392 works like a charm!
#58 at Prescott certainly looks like a two-tone car.

Update - a little research reveals that the Jupiter pictured at Prescott is likely to be KDA937 rather than KER437. This car is mentioned as the Prescott car in Ed Nankivell's original Jupiter book on page 75 and in the car index as E2/SA/748R. I assume therefore that there is other evidence beyond the photo on Revs to link the car to Prescott.

Is it a coincidence that both cars have similar registrations and both sported two-tone colour schemes -which were not factory standard?

Thanks Rupert -I actually meant other evidence for KDA937 being linked to Prescott/Ian Sievwright -since this is in Ed Nankivell's book, yet the Revs photo does not show the full numberplate.

On a different topic, I was fascinated to see that the Le Mans Jupiters are shown fitted with what look to be Marchal headlamps rather than the usual Lucas pf770s (I had previously noticed this was the case on the Farina cars). Presumably they are superior -does anyone know which model of lamp this was?

Chatting with Ed, he believes 901 Jupiters made and just over half survive. Number on the road guestimate 200-300 ish. This was a couple of years ago and we are probably gaining more than we are losing. (More restorations than scrapping).
