I checked the concentration of the antifreeze and topped them up to required level in all the cars yesterday in the light of impending -10c temps.

Checked mine as well and found the water to be very dirty , so decided to drain and flush etc .Nice quick job in the sun , ha ha , half way through the job when it blocked and then had a problem getting it flowing again .part of the problem is that the tap handle fouls the deep head nuts , so the tap not fully opening .Ideally I should unscrew the tap altogether , maybe discard the tap and fit a Moggie oil drain plug that I am told is a perfect fit .( is that correct ) ?
These quick jobs !!!!!

An alternative is a standard 1/8 B.S.P. plug.

Anyone got a 1/8 bsp helicoil kit as Peter 's engine has had a metric plug put in which has stripped the thread.
