Hello ALL,
Has anybody experience with a 123 distributer on a Jupiter? And if so which advance curve setting might you be using? It looks to me as if curve 3 would be appropriate, but do others think?
Thanks vic boddy

My father (Michael Chevers) has used a 123 distributor for some years -and is very happy with it. He's in France too, so probably best to speak to him directly (number in the JCC Members list).
I can't tell you much more than that, but I'm considering fitting one to my car too. Has anyone tried the 123 TUNE version?

Hello John?
Please pass good wishes to your dad from the Club as a whole. I hope he looks at the Forum from time to time.
Here's a photo of something which he will remember, and for which, through his curatorship, still graces the archive of the Club.
Best wishes,
Tony.

Now that is topic drift! I will certainly pass on your regards, as I don't think my father sees this site.
For those not familiar with the model Jowett pictured, it was said to be made by Jowett apprentices (although I don't know why) and was on loan to Jowett dealer and racer Bill Robinson, for showroom display when the company folded. He hung on to the model and gave it to my father in the early 80's. At that time the JCC could not insure the model, so it could not be accepted as a gift to the club. It therefore stayed with us for a few years, getting an outing to the Annual Jowett Day, before eventually finding it's rightful place with the club.
As far as I know it is not yet fitted with 123 ignition

But the excuse is that it is preparation for the rally.
