JOWETTS FOR SALE APRIL-Sept 2015
Posted: Wed Apr 01, 2015 11:49 pm
Market comment - Spring is well on the way and sales are gathering momentum - Bradford projects tend to appear on E Bay and then end long before the auction closing date which equates to them being in strong demand has bidders are making contact with the vendors and making strong offers to secure the vehicles rather than face a bidding war, I am aware of a very nice Jupiter changing hands and two further Jupiters that will come under the gavel of various auction houses in the next few weeks - plus Alan Fishburns Jupiter prototype replica is also to be re-entered for auction this month. Javelins are also sought after and I currently hold a request from a prospective member - if you have a largely original - well presented Javelin for sale please advise and I will put you in touch.
1953 Javelin Project Complete - clean & solid looking car requiring cosmetic TLC - Gold with red interior - In storage since 2006 Currently non running but it looks like it would not take too much effort to get it started - Registration number: PYB 760 - vehicle is in Devon - Very fairly priced at £2,500 ovno SOLD

1937 Jowett 8 HP truck Chassis & cab but no rear body, unaltered chassis but reliant engine & gearbox fitted, comes with original Jowett engine & gearbox which is free turning and not seized - unsure if this a cut down body from an original car or if it was a truck from new - E Bay auction sale which ends 19/04 /15 @ 20:51 - very, very poor images - vehicle is in Atherstone, Warwickshire - currently bid to £542 - reserve not met SOLD £2,250

For sale via a E Bay fixed price advert and quite heavily priced given it's condition at £3,500 or offer (unsure if the vendors idea of an offer is something that actually reflects the true value of the vehicle) Now reduced to £3,250 but still some way overpriced - Reduced again - now £2,950 - and again to £2,850 and yet again to £2,750 but the vendor needs to get realistic and reduce the car by a further £1,000 in order to achieve a sale

1952 Farr bodied Jupiter The advert is sparse in detail but I have made some enquiries in order to add further detail - one of four cars coachbuilt to Jupiter chassis by Farr - I am led to believe that only 3 remain - this was apparently the reserve car for the 1953 Monte Carlo rally - having been barn stored for the last 40 years the car is described as being complete but in a fragile state - given the condition the asking price is very unrealistic at £9,500 now on the market for several months and going nowhere at this kind of money - web link to the advert below but no images - the car is in the West Midlands
