Hi. I have just joined the club as I have acquired a Jupiter, namely JGA 123, chassis no. 41, ex Bill Skelly. It has been off the road around 45 years yet is not a complete wreck. Apart from the steel scuttle bottoms the panels are remarkably good, and it is generally in preserved form. I am interested in hearing advice regarding restoration and parts supply. Looking forward to furthering the project.

Hello Richard, and Happy Christmas.
Welcome to the Club.
My interest is Pre-war, but the whole Jowett Community is now open to you for advice and help.
There are many more Jowetteers in the Club than those that use this forum, so use the Club magazine as well if necessary.
Having said this, there's a wealth of information on this site if you take the time to trawl through it.
Perhaps the best section to post in the future, is under the Jupiter heading.
Tony.
P.S. A Jupiter is nothing like a 'monkey bike' I'll bet!!

Richard - Welcome to both the Club & Forum - you will find a wealth of help & advice amongst the membership everything from historical information, oily bits, how to get the best out of the car to my own speciality, panel & paintwork.
All lower panels for the bulkhead / scuttle are available has repair sections: floor pan & strengthening rail, side panels / toe boards & the lower section of the A posts - there is a strong possibility of complete new bulkheads / scuttles being fabricated and made available within the near future but at an estimated cost of between £1500 - £2000 - you can purchase all the repair panels and get a significant amount of welding / fabrication work done before you get close to the figure quoted for a new bulkhead plus you retain close to the originality of the car - If you need any help just advise and we shall point you in the right direction.
We are a friendly club - please don't let the fact that you do not have a Jowett on the road keep you away from any of our events - by all means invite yourself along to our stand at the Restoration Show in March, our National Rally in May, Employees Reunion in August and our stands at the Manchester Classic Car Show in September & the NEC Classic Car Show in November 2015 - or to any other Jowett Car Club gathering - you will be made very welcome.
To further your project I would has Tony suggests post a thread in the Jupiter section along with some images - (should you need help with the image posting - just advise and one of us will talk you through it)
Have a great Christmas and we look forward to meeting / helping you in the near future.
Chris

To contact the magazine editor use the REQUESTS form (Two steps up from 'Forum' on the intro page). Enquiries like yours are free (Whoopee!) and will reach the whole fraternity.
It surprises me how many members do NOT use the website when there is so much information to be gleaned from the Gallery and from other members.
