I am aware of few Jowetts changing hands in the past few weeks via dealers in very quick transactions - more or less as they come into stock they are sold - with two Jupiter restoration projects in the USA & a very nice BRG metallic Jupiter moving in very short time - still lots of choice out in the market though

As anticipated E3 PE 23259 did not meet reserve. OKC 628 is still on DVLA listings. I have to say that I am mightily impressed that Andy turned up the fact that it was advertised in 1971. Some sleuthing, that.

I had a quick trawl through some older registers and to my surprise failed to find it at all. Surely this one must have been known to the club? Interesting to note the ventilated wheels though the tyres look new so perhaps it has not always been thus shod . Perhaps they are just on to move it for the auction photos, which would be a bit cheeky. I also note a very shiny brake reservoir visible just in front of the driver's seat which seems to suggest some effort - albeit unconventional - to get the hydraulics working.

It was listed under "Collectables - Transportation - automobilia" , which was surely a mistake. Certainly I could not find it without the link provided above, so probably did not have the exposure it deserved. Has anyone looked at it?

This Javelin was not listed in the 2008 register . The wheels may be from a Jupiter. It looks quite a decent car with some wear on the front seat and on the facia but all easily corrected . Probably registered in mid 1953 , OKC started in May 1953 , Liverpool, close in serial no. to another club member's Javelin ! Bob

The maroon one is included in my original August listing - the cream & violet one was sold a few months ago in Northern Ireland for circa £3,000 and is now entered in the auction with a guide price of £4,000 to £5,000 - visually there appears to have been no work undertaken on the vehicle since the previous sale - now included in the August 'Jowetts for Sale' listing
