North American Jowett Register web site
Sadly we have shut down this web site and will use the Jowett talk web site to advise everyone of any future get togethers. Also there will not be any more Jowett Jives sent. We have found as did Ted that there is a lack of interest in a club here in the Americas. The core group of active owners will still get together casually.
Thanks everyone for your support over the last few years.

Re: North American Jowett Register web site
Hi Neil,
This is sad to hear, hopefully you and all the American Jowett owners can continue to enjoy a successful club, albeit organised in a slightly different way.
As an idea - the Jowetteer is now being distributed by e-mail as well as post, and section reports are easily sent to Alan by e-mail, perhaps if the American Register approached the JCC it would be possible to have a regular slot and your members could subscribe to e-mail distribution? This would get around the need to have a separate website and newsletter, but still provide a route to communicating with your members.
Jack.

Re: North American Jowett Register web site
I am very sorry to hear this news, but with such a large area, and so few cars, I am not surprised. For example, In British Columbia in a land mass much greater than the UK there are two Jupiters and one Javelin on the road. May be that on the west coast of North America our distances are not so great and we could remain in contact.
It is a shame to lose all of the data on the web site. Could this not be transferred to the UK mother site?

I am happy to include and host on Jowett.net. Note that moderators and administrators can be assigned to parts of Jowett.net (JowettTalk. JowettGallery) as for NZ club. So just need volunteer to act as such.

Re: North American Jowett Register web site
The website is alive and well on jowett.net here.
It has been partly integrated with the JowettGallery. I encourage all to add comments to the TOPIC Register here.
Also if you can add to the JowettJive archive please scan in and either send to me or put into your personal gallery album or into the Legacy project album reserved for such.
I hope that a revamped website will encourage the Americas' Jowett owners to communicate, so if you have any suggestions on how to improve let me know.

Re: North American Jowett Register web site
The domain transfer has now completed so jowettjupiter.com is now hosted on the jowett.net servers. I had to make a few changes to save all the photographs of the cars in the register which are now in the JowettGallery. The public can post comments if they know anything about the whereabouts of any of the cars so perhaps we will find some more!
Anyway the website is now safe but I will need your help in keeping it up to date and flourishing.
Comments here or in the website co-operative space please.
All that information in your filing cabinet needs to go into the Legacy project of course! So get scanning....
Note there is a special section for Archive Editors for Jowett Jive so if you want to be involved in getting all those marvellous editions produced by Ted into the system for others to see let me know. Neil Belk and Robin Fairservice are currently the JCCAmericas archive editors and so have access to the Archive workspace with JowettTalk. Robin also has special access to the JCCA Register and Jowett Jive albums in the Gallery allowing him editorial control. Robin is also a legacy editor allowing him special access to the Legacy archive space.

Re: North American Jowett Register web site
In the new year I will be reproducing some bonnet rear buffers and some Horn slip ring brush holders with brushes true to the original. I have 50 of the brushes and will reproduce the brush holder and clip. So if anyone wants these parts let me know.
