Apologies all but the day job keeps me away on business in a very remote location of the Peak District so no communication signal etc - back home for one night so here goes:

Market comment: It has been quite lively - mainly due to keenly / well priced cars in the market - it has seen a very good - well presented SA Jupiter change hands in the £17,000 region, another very sound SA being moved on for realistic price of circa £14,000, a couple of Javelins in varying conditions have been moved on through E Bay over the last month along with a part restored pre war car with a non Jowett engine moving on for just over £1,000, but the bargain over the last few months was the E Bay Bradford van - complete but requiring a full restoration for £1,500. I am advised that Peter Rogers stock of 3 Jowetts have all gone to a Hong Kong purchaser !

Italian Jupiter
1952 SA Jupiter - RHD - UK regisitered - red coachwork with tan interior
very well presented and well worth the £17,500 and the trip to Rome where the car is located
http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C336247

Over priced Javelin for restoration - Scandinavian import plus 2 x van loads of rusty spares
car now located in Bath UK - but never worth the £2,995 asking price
http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C333475

Swedish Javelin:
1950 RHD - black - well presented - car is in Karlstad, Sweden
£7,000

Polish Jupiter:
Private sale of ex states 1952 SA Jupiter - finished in white with black interior - left hand drive - requires some work
20,500 Euros

Jon - No problems whatsoever - just be carefull how you list your e mail address if you have one otherwise it may get picked up by spam e mail better to use 'at' rather than @

Good luck with the sale - regards Chris

I know it may be difficult for some to realise that if you have posted on JowettTalk anybody can reach you securely without revealing your email address by clicking on your name or pseudonym. So tell them to do that rather than revealing your email address.

'at' or some other masking is only used for those who send emails from outside JowettTalk. I sometimes wonder if some people try to use 'at' not @. ...... :?

So. Peter Rogers stock of 3 Jowetts have all gone to a Hong Kong purchaser !

I just wonder if there might be sufficient demand there for the STOLEN Short Two to have gone that way?

Perhaps when visiting Hong Kong we could get in with the local Classic Car scene and make enquiries.

SOLD

OK, here's the ad for my Jupiter, which will hopefully appear in the next issue of the Joweteer:

1953 Jupiter E3/SA/934/R registration KWS 137 (as featured on the October 2012 Joweteer front cover). Green, with red leather interior and black hood, I believe that this was the penultimate Mark 1 made. Taxed as a ‘Historic Vehicle’, MOT expires end January 2013

First registered in Edinburgh, the car came to me via Bill Lock in 2002, having undergone a partial restoration. I believe that I’m the 8th owner: I’ve used the car regularly for the last 10 years, covering around 16000 miles.

Whilst in my care, I’ve upgraded/improved as follows: new hood (2002), electronic fuel pump (2006), electronic ignition (2007), new electrical loom (2011), work on engine/clutch/gearbox by Allan Fishburn & Mike Smailes (2011/2012). I’ve also had a lockable (internal) door fitted to the boot ‘void’. The car has always been kept garaged at my home in Sheffield.

The paintwork, chromework and upholstery are in ‘OK’ condition, if a bit scruffy. The car drives well, with good oil pressure (45-50), and (after recent work), the water temperature seems to be as expected too.

The car also has a chromed luggage rack, complete with newish leather straps, there are also some original tools (inc jack, pump), and many spares. Also included are the original registration document and many MOTs and receipts (some from before my ownership).

£xxxxx SOLD
