Well I thought the word cheap would get your attention - and by todays standards these are cheap but the adverts below are taken from the October 1960 edition of 'Motorsport' - I thought they would make entertaining reading

Jowett Jupiter 1952, Heater, Nearest £250

Jowett Jupiter 1952 2/3 seater in red, recently reconditioned series 3 engine and equipped with wing mirrors, interior heater etc £365

1954 Jupiter sports, Ivory, Many extras and modifications and recently overhauled, Price £350

1957 Jowett Jupiter 2 seater, Special alloy coachbuilt body, White / red trim, Five new tyres, Phase 111 engine, Heater, all instruments. Must be seen, Bargain £495 o.n.o

Coupe Jupiter, An outstanding individual car, beautifully built by Collinson. New engine with special aluminium sump, brake booster, adjustable dampers, heater, Immaculate in red £395

However just to show how much the times and values have changed - in the same magazine are Jaguar XK 120 & 140 models in excellent low mileage condition at £350 (£50,000 + today) Riley tourers at £100 (£25,000 today) A properly sorted Bentley 4.5 litre Supercharged with Le Mans coachwork £860 (today £500,000) 30's Rolls Royce Phantom limousine at £325 (today £150,000) 2 Litre Aston Martins for £300 (£75,000 today) but unbelievable is the Bugatti Type 37 at £325 !!! - name your price in todays money !!

I thought you were about to mention the 8 on ebay at £2K with 12 hours to go!

One day you will look back and say things like "you could buy a concours Capri for £2K! What a bargain!" :)
