This has restarted after a gap of 28 years. Prompted by the dent to the SA suffered at the JAW hotel and subsequent visit to the panel beaters, the rear section has had new aluminium fitEƃ

Hello Keith

Apart from Bill Lock (of course!) I have had good service re brake parts for my Javelin from the following:

powertracksales@aol.com

ian@classic-parts.co.uk

Good luck! :)

Re.

I also have three master cylinder pistons that have blemishes. Has anyone tried metal spraying or plating these and then regrinding or turning?

I'm sure I've read somewhere of someone turning them down and then sleeving them. Must be a good shrink/interference fit though for obvious reasons!

New master cylinder PISTONS are available. I purchased two last year. I put one into Martin Prentice's Javelin which is working perfectly.

A new one will be cheaper than metal spraying.

NZ guys have come up trumps on brake parts and also mentioned a problem with incorrect seals that were supplied. I suffered from this problem rebuilding a master cylinder 12 years ago. Correct box, wrong part! Brakes failed but no damage.
