I am in disbelief that UK crankshaft shops don't have a gauge.

The places I tried were engine builders, not specialist regrinders. The one used by Classic Autos is 50 miles away.

The crank has been measured by Apsley Transmissions and confirms the 2.238 measurement I got except the rear main did have half a thou thinning which I will confirm tomorrow.

I will also measure the journal radius using the two methods.

Harry and I took the engine out of Amy's Jup and replaced it with the engine out of the Leopold Jup that I have re commissioned.
