16/04/15 - 17:30 hours - Listing updated with the sale of the Jupiter at Charterhouse Auctions yesterday - Overpriced Javelin project in Yorkshire reduced by a further £100 - it requires reducing by a further £1,000 before it becomes a realistically priced venture for someone to take on.

Listing updated 19/04/15 @ 22:20 - E Bay Jowett 8 pick up - sold - 22 bids - looks like Jowett commercial projects are in demand - Also sold this evening is the E Bay Javelin project - not so many bids but a fair price paid for the car - lets hope they have both gone to new owners whom are keen see the vehicles restored.

The gold Javelin PYB 760 ,see post April 14th, in Devon has been sold . I spoke to the owner, Alastair, who had joined the Club . He said he had lots of calls and it went to a buyer in East Anglia, he recomended the Club to him . He concluded he could have priced it higher ! Bob

This car is ex-Jack Gipe and sat for decades in a flood zone of the Russian River in N. California. James Miller excavated it about 7 years ago and when pressed by Gipe to buy the car, James offered up that he didn't think it was worth the effort it took to dig it out. Gipe let it go at that. James brought it by my shop and it was in very, very poor shape. Later sold to a UK owner.

The photos look to be the same ones when the car was offered on US eBay a few months ago when a salvage company bought the entire contents of an Oakland, CA (San Francisco)warehouse.

Jupiter for sale in San Francisco area. Ex- Marc Reinwald, currently owned by Ron Bennett. Restored in my shop a few years ago and still looks the same with very, little mileage. Used for an occasional coffee run on a Sunday. A true complete rebuild stripped to the bare frame and reassembled. Selling for US$45k, much less than the restoration cost.
