At the last count there are approaching 60 overseas visitors who are planning to come to the 2010 Centenary Rally in May. For practical reasons some of them can't bring their Jowetts (many live in the southern hemisphere)!!
Can you help any of these folk to enjoy their visit to the UK this year?
You do not need to be coming to the Rally - only recently I was talking to someone who will be in the UK for a month and who has never been here before. Could you entertain such a person, even for one evening?
If you are coming to the Rally could you offer a ride in your Jowett, or lend a Jowett, or be prepared to be a point of contact for someone who simply needs to know how we do things in the UK!!
Peter Holden and Drummond Black are working with the Rally Committee to co-ordinate just whatever you can offer. At the moment they do not have too much to do. Can you change that? and make a visitors visit memorable? I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

overseas visitors
We are hosting the Dutch and Belgium party
I am meeting them at Hull docks and taking them home for coffee then hopefully one will drive my Abbott and one my standard Jupiter for Bill and Sue Eberzy to drive on Jupitour and the rest get my 7 seater bus because they are staying at a subsidiary hotel I will bring my Javelin (now almost finished)
The big problem then will be how to get the bus and the Javelin Home as we leave next day in the Abbott on Jupitour so if someone can take them back they could be loaned out for a few days
Make me an offer

Overseas Visitors
Are there any overseas members intending to visit Scotland, either before or after the Rally, and looking for accommodation, just contact Ruby or Drummond. Even if it's just for a meal, "cuppa", or blether, you will be most welcome.
We are located in Central Scotland, quite near the famous Forth Rail Bridge, and only 15 mins journey into central Edinburgh. Kirkliston is a good base to visit many famous Scottish landmarks. We are also a stones throw from Edinburgh Airport.
Just give us a call or via the forum.
