Rear Spring Arm

Post by David Morris »

Hi Ted,

You have reminded me about the rubbers! The ones I obtained originally from JCS were very soft and spongy! I questioned JCS about these and they then found some NOS ones that looked like original Jowett ones, and these were much harder. Fitted these ones, and with the arms the 'right' way round, the old girl sits up at a decent height!

The softer ones might have been OK, but I was looking for anything that raised the rear of the car, and having squigy rubbers seemed like a poor place to start from!

What started me off on the quest for harder rubbers was that I had one NOS rubber in stock, with the original Jowett stock label still attached, so I knew they should be firmer.

Hope this helps,

David

Those rubbers were reserved for the racing boys. So I hope to see the car on the track!
