Jowetts in films

Post by k. rogers »

Following on from recent threads regarding the 'Ballykissangel' Javelin, does anyone know the name of the episode of 'Poirot' which Colin Durham's Weasel appeared in, then I will look out for it amongst the many repeats which are showing!

If it is red with a black hood it may be in 'There's a Tide' which was shown on ITV3 this evening. I didn't see it but my wife did and she said it looked like 'Arabella' ! :?:

Thanks for that, Ian, I will look out for that title the next time it's on! Incidentally, I've enjoyed reading the original road test report on your car on the Gallery - I don't know if there was ever one for the Weasel (unless someone knows differently) so I found it fascinating. Does your car still have aluminium heads and twin exhausts? Also have you returned it to the colour scheme described in the article?

Hi Ken.

No, Yes & yes !

One ally head did come with the car so if I ever get hold of another one, I will refit them

Twin exhausts still there

Body is white (RAL9001), ever so slightly creamy but not as creamy as Old English White, the wings, running boards, and front 'scoop' are green (BS381-226 Mid Brunswick)

Upholstery is back to green leather and carpet back to green

Hood still the black one fitted when she was restored in the 60's but it is not a good fit so hopefully I will be changing to green later this year

Once she is all back together, I will post a photo

Cheers, Ian
