Dorset Steam fair 2008
Is there anybody going to this years 40th GDSF on August 27th?
Were going down, as it's been five years since we were last at this mammoth event. We will be there from Sunday 24th to Sunday 31st.
If there are any Jowetteers going down this year, and you fancy a pint in the Real Ale Tent (RAT) then please get in touch with me via e-mail or on this site.
It would be nice to meet up and catch up on all things Jowett.

Great Dorset Steam Fair
To Roger & Paul, Enjoy the event & keep the Jowett Flag flying, in and out of the beer tent. We can all read about it in a later Jowetteer.

We certainly will. I am a little surprised that there only appears to be myself and Roger going. I am sure that there must be others from the South-West and Southern sections going. So I'll have to keep my eyes open. If you see a lad wearing a black Jowett cap that's me!Drummond Black wrote:To Roger & Paul, Enjoy the event & keep the Jowett Flag flying, in and out of the beer tent. Hi All,
Had a really "Great Dorset". The weather was cloudy but dry. I saw Roger's three beautiful JOWETT'S. And I was fortunate to enjoy his company on Thursday night in the R.A.T. He tells me that Bill Lock was there, and I was very sorry to have missed him as was my Dad.
Hope you had a good journey home Roger.
And A full report will follow in a forth coming Jowetteer.
