Honorary Members

At Last Saturdays AGM I proposed that 'Tony Fern' was elected to the status of Honorary Member and duly elected I forwarded the following e mail:

'Tony – If you have not already heard at yesterdays AGM you were elected to the status of ‘Honorary Member’ – It’s all my fault as I proposed it – Hopefully, just reward for your loyalty to the club over the decades along with your ever helpful nature that strives to assist other members in any which way that you can – It hasn’t gone unnoticed.'

Tony duly replied:

'Hello Chris.

What a lovely way to start a week and the rest of my Jowett life.

Thank you for your email and the fact that you did the proposing.. I didn’t know that we still have Hon. members, and I am extremely grateful to see that the members attending the AGM supported your proposal.

As you know there are others in the Club that do as much, if not more than me, but it is a signal honour.'
