Finding parts to fit a Jowett is difficult so care must be taken on replacement. Do not assume the part is correct but check, even if it was obtained from a reputable supplier.
There are many reports on JT of such issues. I will try to collate them in this topic.

Petrol pipe
There are apparently different threads used on petrol pipe unions so carefully check you have the correct one when replacing. The parts should mate fully with finger pressure turning. If a spanner is required then you may be cross threading the unions.
The JCS supplied has the wrong fitting on the banjo end. It should be a fine thread not coarse.
See pic where i fitted coupling with same thread. Checked on all cars and many Jowett banjos. Replý from Paul.

I made up two new pipes using the original fittings. Into the solder fittings I soldered s short length of 5/16 copper pipe to take the new hose. Not always!! We have had so many problems with this that we have followed the JOAC example and now supply the thing complete with Banjo!
Not at JCS now until 5 June, but will send a couple then _ I have one fitted to my CB Bradford - same part number, and it fits perfectly!!

Re: Equivalent or similar parts
I seem to recall discovering that the banjo bolts for fuel pump and carburettor are different but look very much the same. One is taper pipe thread and the other is parallel. Sorry I can't remember which is which.
