Jowett's Wartime Production

Post by David Morris »

Hi,

Does anyone know how to access a copy of a booklet produced by Jowett's after WW2, that described how Jowett's helped to win the war?

I remember seeing a copy and I guess there should be one in the Technical Library? However, when I tried to search for it, I didn't manage to find a copy?

Any advice would be most welcome,

All the best,

David

Hi Chris,

Yep, that's the one.

Do you know if it has been scanned and is available on line?

Many thanks,

David

Hi Chris,

Many thanks for your email. Could you do me a favour? Could you have a look through the leaflet and see if there is a page mentioning the generators like mine?

I know Jowett's did a lot of different things during the war, but did they mention the generators and/or stationary engines in general? If so,I would be very grateful if you could email me a copy of that page, as I could work up a description board to sit beside my generator at the Rally, and let visitors ( and me) know a bit more about it?

I was very interested to read in the May Jowetteer the article on the Jowett stand at the NEC. Well done! A tribute to all involved!

Many thanks,

David
