Bradford Classic
If you attended our AGM at Coventry last year you will recall me outlining this event. Arrangements are now being finalised and we have an invitation to form the centrepiece of this year's display. The event takes place in the centre of Bradford over the weekend of 19/20 July and whilst Jowett owners and vehicles are welcome on both days Saturday 19 July is the focus day.
This is a good publicity opportunity for the Jowett Car Club Ltd.
The organisers would like a display of 75+ Jowetts as the centrepiece.
An application form is now available and if you send me a PM I will forward a copy to you.
This event is in addition to our own Former Employees Reunion, which will take place as usual in August. If you can only come to one event, please maintain your support of the Former Employees Reunion.

I copied verbatim (scanned then OCR) the relevent portion of the Chairmans Chunk from the May Jowetteer:-
So the JCCL is not supporting the event, but members may if they so wish provided they deal direct with Bradford City Council."The Bradford City Administration, which wants to feature Jowetts in the Bradford Classic Car Show this year, has been difficult to contact and has not provided the support that we need to get the event organised. We have now chosen not to support the event as a Club -of course this does not prevent our members entering their vehicles, but they will have to deal with Bradford City Council direct."
Compliments of the Season,
Alastair Gregg

To date liaison with Bradford City has not been easy and until recently the web site related to last years event. However they have now uploaded a web site for this year's event and have secured backing from RBS. They would still like a Jowett showing on the Saturday and I hope to be there. The web site is http://www.bradford.gov.uk/asp/bradford ... /index.asp
Entry forms are down loadable, so I would still like to "fly the flag" if as many of us as possible can get there.
