Hi does anyone have a gates, triden or other manufacturers part number for Jupiter radiator caps?
Please dont say, just take the old one to a parts supplier to match one, as I dont have a sample.
Dies anyone know which other cars share the cap?

Re: Radiator pressure cap
Possible candidates:
Gates RC103 , 31524
Stant 10208, 11208, 46005, TR101
The RC103 is a 4 lb for sure; not sure if all the others are 4 or 7 lb.
NB: the original caps used a leather ring lodged in the filler neck as the seal. There are several indentations visible that retained the ring. These will foul the new cap. The modern caps need to have mods to the bottom brass stamping. This part has been swaged up and over, resulting in small protrusions as the metal "folds" to shrink onto another part.
Failure to remove them results in the cap not seating and an open cooling system. Aggressive removal of metal results in the cap parts separating, but this does not impact the operation of the cap. Simply seat the sealing part in the radiator neck and screw the rest of the cap in place.

Re: Radiator pressure cap
Thanks everyone. After measuring I have determined a Ferguson tractor cap fits. I have bought one & it certainly seems right.
I realised after that Doug Raths Jupiter has a Fergie cap,
Best thing about this as I gained a lot of knowledge on caps! & now know to go ti any towns tractor spares for a cap.
